Greece lies in the Mediterranean CLimate Zone, the smallest zone in the world. The Zone has customary cold, wet winters followed by hot dry (but sometimes humid) summers. The Mediterranean Climate Zone is only found in a handful of places in the world, including Southern Australia, Chile, South Africa, the Mediterranean, and California. This zone is difficult to live in because region which rely on agriculture (thus irrigation) have difficult times because the growing season for plants (the season which requires the most water) is the summer, where in the rest of the world summers are wet, Greece and the other mediterranean zones have dry summers, which often leads to droughts.
The climate in Africa varies widely, with some regions experiencing tropical, desert, arid, Mediterranean, and subtropical climates. Generally, Africa is known for its hot temperatures, especially in central and northern regions, while southern Africa can have a milder or cooler climate. Rainfall patterns also differ, with some areas experiencing heavy rain and others being very dry. Overall, Africa's climate diversity is influenced by factors like latitude, altitude, proximity to water bodies, and prevailing wind patterns.
