By drying up all water systems under and on the ground with salt, this then has an effect on farmers because they cant water there crops because salt has gotten in to the water, and then the plants will dry up even more.

Describe the oceans and explain how the water cycle affects the salinity of the ocean?

Oceans are big water bodies. Salinity is due to the presence of minerals in water.

How does the salinity of water affect how well objects can float or sink in the water?

the higher the salinity the more easily an object can float

How does water temperature affect water salinity?

The temperature and salinity of seawater determine its density. Water gets denser as it gets saltier and reaches a maximum density at 4 °C. Salinity does affect the boiling point and freezing point of water, but not its temperature.

What process in the water cycle increases the salinity of ocean water?

The process in the water cycle that increases the salinity of ocean water is evaporation. As water evaporates from the oceans, it leaves behind its salt content, causing the remaining water to become more saline. When this water vapor condenses and falls back into the ocean as precipitation, it is essentially fresh water, so this cycle of evaporation and precipitation increases the overall salinity of the oceans over time.

What two thing affect the density of ocean water?

Temperature & salinity.

What is the difference between salinity an density?

Salinity refers to the concentration of salt in water, while density refers to how tightly packed the molecules of a substance are. Salinity can affect the density of water, as the more salt in water, the denser it becomes.

How do manganese nodules affect the salinity of ocean water?

Manganese nodules do not directly affect the salinity of ocean water. Salinity is primarily influenced by factors such as evaporation, precipitation, and inputs from rivers and hydrothermal vents. While manganese nodules can impact the distribution of minerals in the ocean floor, they do not play a significant role in altering the overall salinity of the water.
