We still have millions of them left to find, and only one quatre of them has been found yet.
Yes, they are called Fusulinids (Fusulinidae). They look like grains of rice.
Fossils are located all over the Earth in sedimentary rock. Good places to look are cliffs, outcrops, streambeds and around quarries. The types of fossils you can find will vary by where you are and how old the rock is. fossils are usually located near oceans, rivers,,and near watery areas.
The vast majority of fossils are found in sedimentary rock.
I've found some before at Parc-du-Haut-Fond. You turn a rock over and chances are that it has a fossil on it! (65%-70%) It's better to look when the tide is low because they are found mostly in the parts that get covered by the water when it's high tide. I have at least 10 with REALLY NICE fossils on them. I even found a rock with gems in it, but I lost it... :( Anyway, I hope you can find some! Good luck! :)
First, be sure it is actually a fossil! In terms of identifying, there are millions of different fossils, let alone being able to collect something that is in a complete piece! Best thing to do is go to palaeontology.com or the science museum in London has a website, and they can help. There are also some simple guide books that explain the most common fossils to be found.
Dinosaurs are reconstructed from fossils, petrified remains, trace fossils, and comparisons with existing animals.
Dinosaurs are not mythical they lived hundreds, and hundreds, and hundreds of years ago
scientist found out about the bones and named them by what they look like.
EVERYWHERE!Fossils are everywhere. What did you think, dinosaurs only were in Floroda? No.They were everywhere creating fossils. (I advise u go to the beach)
Scientists have found a number of fossils of theropod dinosaurs with anatomy remarkably similar to that of birds. Many dinosaurs are now known to have had feathers.
For the most part, we don't know as very few fossils are preserved well enough to deduce the color. With a few dinosaurs, chemical traces have been found of color. Most colors found on dinosaurs are the colors of their feathers. Sinosaurpoteryx had an orange-and-white striped tail. Anchiornis was mostly black with white bands and a red crest, making it look somewhat like a woodpecker. Confuciusornis is believed to have been gray, black, and brown.
we have been trying to look for the answer... BUT IT HASN'T WORKED OUT

no they are not. If you go outside and look around and look at all types of rocks you will probably not find a fossil. Fossils are rarely found.
Sedimentary rock is where we look for fossils.
The Dinosaurs ended by a huge astrod that hit the earth 60 million years ago ... we still have some animals that represent them. like reptiles or birds and also an ostrich . next time you got to the zoo look at its feet.. We still have a way of how each dinosaurs looked like .. fossils and there is even plants that were big then. if you are looking for fossils you will have to dig several layers down. three layers to be exact . for more information about how to find dinosaur fossils look on the internet.
