Air is inhaled through the nose or mouth to the lungs and out the same way.

UPDATE:

Most humans today breth the opposite way that is suppost to be healthy. We are suppost to inhale with are diaphragm flexing (tummy going out) and exhailing with diaphragm collapsing (tummy going in)
