Most transition metals are characterized by their shiny, metallic luster rather than dullness. They typically have high melting and boiling points, and many are good conductors of heat and electricity. These metals also exhibit variable oxidation states and are known for forming colorful compounds, which is a result of their d-orbitals. Hence, describing them as dull would not accurately reflect their properties or appearance.
The definition of a metal includes the fact that it is shiny when freshly cut. Metals that readily oxidise would therefore have a dull appearance as a layer of that metal's oxide would quickly form on the outside. Such metals include Zinc, Magnesium and Lead. Any metal that has been left to oxidise for a long time would be dull, so copper or even silver, for example, could also be dull. Unreactive metals are rarely ever dull. Thus Gold and Platinum are examples of metals that are almost never dull.
metals are malleable in nature
dull and or plain
The element is most likely a metal, as metals tend to have good electrical conductivity. The description of a black, dull surface suggests that the metal may not be very shiny or reflective, giving it a dull appearance.
Metals are associated with being shiny and good conductors of electricity. They are typically not dull, brittle, or poor conductors of electricity.

My opinion would be metal. Since non metals are brittle and dull, I disagree with the non-metals.
dull metals are dull obviously but other than that no
Metals, non-metals and transition metals.
i think its dull
Rhenium is shiny in its pure form, displaying a metallic luster similar to other transition metals like silver or platinum.
There are at least two possible answers to this question. The two most usual ones are probably: metals, nonmetals, and metalloids; or main group, transition elements, and inner transition elements.

Being simple and it probably won't help you out but I would describe the rain as being dull, wet and boring!
Non-metals are dull (or they are not shiny as metals).
The words waxy, pearly, and dull describe a mineral's luster.
