No, wrong end. Streptococcal pharyngitis, streptococcal tonsillitis, or streptococcal "sore throat" called "strep throat" is caused by group A beta-hemolytic streptococcus (GAS or S. pyogenes), or by non–group A beta-hemolytic streptococci and fusobacterium. Transmission is through the respiratory system and mucous membranes of the mouth, so coughing, sneezing, kissing, sharing a straw/drink immediately after an infected person or carrier used the same straw/container, or very close contact in which respiratory germs are most apt to spread. Overcrowding in public areas, schools, colleges, hospitals, etc. have higher incidences of transmission rates than when people are more separated. As well, an infected person can be a carrier without showing symptoms. But, no, streptococcal bacteria's proteins are NOT spread through intestinal gas, e.g. farting.
