You need to provide many more details.

So assuming that the panel voltage is reasonable, the panel is clean, it is sunny and the panel is pointed at the sun. Then it will take about 225/7 hours to charge the battery. About 300 hrs.

But in fact charging is only about 85% efficient (charge at 14 V get energy out at 12V or so).

This ups the charge time to maybe 350 hrs or so.

Charging can be improved by inserting a MPPT charger between the battery and the panel. This bit of electronics decouples the battery voltage and the panel voltage allowing the panel to be operated at its' most efficient voltage.

That might knock off 15% of charge time bringing you back to 300 sunny hours.

What is the difference between Trickle charge and boost charge of a battery?

It's in the amount of current that is used to charge the battery. If the amp-hour (Ah) capacity of the battery is known, charging at the 5-hour rate or quicker would count as a boost charge, while charging at the 20-hour rate or slower would be a trickle charge. So for a 40 Ah battery, a boost charge is more than 8 amps while a trickle charge is less than 2 amps. A normal charge would be 4 amps.

When charging a battery at say 2 amps is it a cumulative charge over time or will the battery only receive a 2 amp charge?

Charging a battery at 2 amps means it will receive a constant current of 2 amps over time. The charge is not cumulative, as the battery will only receive a 2 amp charge until it reaches full capacity or charging stops.

Can 5v charger charge a 7.5v battery?

yes it just takes longer to charge, but check how much Amps (A) your charger gives out and how much Amps your battery can take if the battery has lower Amperage (A), don't do it, otherwise you're fine. <<>> No, the charging unit has to have a higher output that the battery voltage that it is charging. For example, on a 12 volt car battery the charging rate is 13.5 volts.

How long does it take to charge a 8.4v battery?

The charging time for an 8.4V battery can vary depending on factors like the capacity of the battery and the charging current. Typically, it can take anywhere from 1 to 4 hours to fully charge an 8.4V battery. It's important to follow the manufacturer's guidelines for charging to ensure the battery is charged safely and effectively.

How long to charge a 7.2V NiMH battery?

It typically takes around 1-3 hours to fully charge a 7.2V NiMH battery, depending on the capacity of the battery and the charging rate of the charger being used. It is important to follow the manufacturer's guidelines for charging to ensure optimal performance and safety.

your car is usually has a 12 volt battery, on the charger set it to 12 volt charge, the batter will tell you how long to charge it usually 4 hours, do not overcharge, will damage battery :)

What is boost charging?

Boost charging involves a high current for short period of time to charge the battery. It is generally if the battery has been discharged heavily. Boost charge enables the quick charging of depleted batteries.

Do you add water to a battery before or after charging?

Always water your battery after the cool down period. The best practice for conventional forklift batteries are - 8 WORKING HOURS, 8 HOURS OF CHARGE, & 8 HOURS COOL DOWN. Water the batter prior to use; if required.

Why doesnt your laptop want to charge it worked for a couple days and all of a sudden it stopped working Also whenever its out of battery a small battery light blinks it doesnt do that no more help?

Your battery is probably "broken" Check if you have disabled battery charging And if the charging light is on it is charging and its a good thing. Also check the adaptor with a multimeter (UNPLUG IT FIRST)

The battery is probably dead.

Does the laptop become heavier after charging the battery?

No, the charge in the battery is a change in state of the battery contents, not an addition to the battery.
