In the Southern Hemisphere, it never snows on Christmas Day since it is summer time. In the northern hemisphere near the equator, it is too warm. Christmas is also only at the start of winter in the northern hemisphere which is why you get more snowfall throughout January and February. as well it never snows because it only snows every time a leap year has come.
