They are the Atlantic Coastal Plains and Gulf Coastal Plains. The Atlantic Plains runs close to the Atlantic Coast and the Gulf Plains runs near the Gulf of Mexico.

Another name for coastal plains are lowlands or littoral plains. These are flat, low-lying areas adjacent to coastlines that are formed by the deposition of sediment carried by rivers or the sea. Coastal plains are often fertile and support diverse ecosystems.

The coastal lowlands are generally the east coast of Australia including most of new south Wales and Queensland. basically they are the plains up from the sea. There is the central lowlands that is located obviously in the center of Autralia. This area is very dry and consists of The Simpson Desert and Lake Eyre.
