In design, this type of unity is referred to as "relational unity" or "interactive unity." It occurs when individual elements maintain their distinctiveness and contribute to the overall composition without losing their individuality. Each element is appreciated for its unique qualities while still working harmoniously within the design, resulting in a richer and more dynamic visual experience. This approach fosters engagement and encourages viewers to explore the relationships between the components.
The element of design that gives life to a project is often referred to as "movement." Movement creates a sense of energy and flow within the design, guiding the viewer's eye through the composition and adding interest and dynamism to the project.
The simplest and most versatile element of design is shape. Shapes can be geometric or organic and serve as the foundation for creating complex designs. They can convey meaning, create visual interest, and establish structure, making them essential in various design fields, from graphic design to architecture. Their adaptability allows designers to manipulate them in countless ways to achieve desired aesthetics and functionality.
The most basic of the design elements is the line. When lines are closed, they form shapes, which are fundamental components in design. Lines can vary in width, length, and direction, contributing to the overall composition and visual interest in a design.
Emphasis by isolation is a design principle where a single element is separated or highlighted to draw attention to it and create a focal point. By isolating an element from its surroundings, such as placing it in white space or using contrasting colors, designers can make that element stand out and communicate its importance effectively.
In design, the external element that groups items is typically referred to as a "container" or "frame." Containers help organize and structure content, creating visual hierarchy and improving user experience. They can take various forms, such as boxes, grids, or sections, providing a clear boundary that distinguishes grouped items from the rest of the design. Additionally, spacing, color, and alignment within the container further enhance the grouping effect.

The fan shaped floral design is usually called the Victorian fan. This floral design begins by placing the tallest element in the center, back of the design. A symmetrical fan shape is then created on both sides of this element by angling the other tall plant matter in to a fan shape. A focal point, such as a spray is added to the front, center of the fan.

From my understanding of this concept it is not. Direct instruction is an instructional strategy that could be used in a design model. An instructional design model seems to be an actaully way of creating a curriculum and ideas for how to run a classroom that is created by an individual or group of individuals. For example, backward design which was created by Wiggins and McTighe.
HTML is the main element in design of a webpage.
By Design was created in 1982.
The um element is not a standard HTML element in web design. It seems there may have been a typo or misunderstanding. Can you please provide more context or clarify the element you are referring to?
