Well not neurons, there are nerves in the spine. Neurons exist in the brain. With that being said, yes the spine is made of nerves that carry electrical impulses from every region of the body to the brain and from the brain to the body.
sensory neurons
The specific neurons that send impulses to the brain when a hot surface is touched are called nociceptors. These sensory neurons detect painful stimuli and transmit signals through the peripheral nervous system to the spinal cord and then to the brain. This process alerts the brain to the potential danger, resulting in the sensation of pain and triggering a reflex response to withdraw from the heat.
These are those neurons which carry impulses from the organ or part of body to the brain
association neurons
brain or spinal cord
The nervous system carries impulses to and from the brain by way of neurons. The bundles are called nerves. Sensory nerves bring impulses into the spinal cord and brain and motor neuron carry impulses away from the brain and spinal cord to the muscles and glands.
Sensory neurons
Signals are transmitted through the spinal cord and brain via neurons.
Afferent
afferent neurons
The sensory neurons carry impulses through the spinal cord to the brain.
Motor or efferent neurons.
An Efferent Neuron.
Afferent neurons (sensory)
motor neurons
Neurons that carry impulses are called motor neurons. These neurons transmit signals from the brain and spinal cord to muscles or glands, directing them to take action in response to stimuli.
