Yes! polypropylene is harmful! it will make you die! your lungs will melt! your tongue will burn one u lick it. you will lose smelling scent once you smell it and the worst part of all! your eyes will burn into a million pieces making you blind and also destroy your hearing ability! Even thought you don't have hearing abilities

I had to answer this Question once for a science project! Here is what I found. in 2008 Canadian scientists found that Quaternary ammonium biocides and oleamide was leaking out of certine lab ware affecting there experiments. polypropylene is used for a number of food containers and research is being done to see whether anything is needed to protect costumers from this. Other than that I have found no other reason for it to be restricted.
