The safest distance from lightning while swimming is in your house. If you hear thunder it is possible taht lightning could strike you. If you are swimming and you hear thunder the best thing to do is to go inside.
No it is not. I'd get out if I were you. If lightning were to hit the pool, the electricity would be conducted through the water. If it hit even a ways away, roots, wires, etc... could carry the current right to the pool and electrocute you.
VERY VERY DANGEROUS!!!!!!!!! Never ever swim during a storm!!! Because lighting is attracted to tree's and water, I learned this in Science.
If you were swimming during a lightning storm, and lightning happed to strike the water, you would get electrified and you would die. So yes, it is very dangerous, and you shouldn't ever do it.
Yes it is completely safe, scientists have tested it many times.
Thunder is not dangerous; it is merely sound. It is lightning that is dangerous. The most dangerous type is cloud-to-ground lightning.
I hope this is helpful... ... the most dangerous type of lightning is cloud to ground lightning. see was that so bad
Yes, it is.
Sheet lightning, or more accurately intracloud lightning is the same as lightning that hits the ground, the only difference is that it is within the cloud. They are no different apart from that. They are the exact same thing, except one would take a different path. They are both dangerous.
Of course not! Seek shelter if it is lightning, especially near water. Most places near water have a lightning alarm to let you know to seek shelter. You should also get serge protectors for electronics and be advised there is a slim chance of getting electrocuted by being on the computer during lightning as well as damage to the computer.
Yes, the lightning will be attracted to the water and it could electricute you.
Assuming that you mean a thunder and lightning storm, it is dangerous to swim because water is a conductor to electricity similarly to metal. If the storm is close, meaning you can see the lightning, you should get out of the pool immediately because it is possible that lightning will strike the pool.
Heat lightning is the lightning produced in distant thunderstorms. It can represent an early warning sign that a thunderstorm is approaching. If you see heat lighting, then it's probably best to err on the side of safety and exit the water as soon as possible.

Not unless you can't swim.
A number of people have died from lightning. It is dangerous.
No because you could get electrocuted from the lightning. Lightning is attracted to any body of water.

ya very dangerous
There is no such thing as a lightning tornado. Lightning and tornadoes are two different phenomena. They are both very dangerous, though, each claiming dozens of lives every year.
