- it is possible to place elements on the page and then move them around as you wish to create the desired product unlike word processing where the users have to works in a linear fashion

-it is frame based that means the text and picture frames can be laid out on the page, and moved and resized

as necessary.

Disadvantages are:

-it takes a long time to install

- it might not give all the tool as Photoshop

or Coco

- to install additional software or hardware might be required

-the staff will need some training if they are new to the program which might take up some time
