The rich soil and the tropical climate of the region made it possible for the Olmecs to develop a highly structured society that was based on the growth of maize(corn),beans,squash,manioc,sweet potado,and cotton. There weather was very tropical, it was warm and humid. The Olmec civilization was located in what is today the Mexican state of Vera Cruz. The temperature is mainly in the 90's -100's. The Olmec used so many natural resources, for example ... they used rocks in order to accomplish statues of there important ones. The Olmec also use tree braches too.
