If you know the density of the liquid, scales could be used to determine the mass and then plugged into the equation:- volume = mass/density A measuring cylinder could also be used. Stuck on the third one though...I guess you could use a burette, but generally they're only used for titrations.

What is the purpose of measuring volume of an area?

to measure volume the object must be three dimensional. the purpose of measuring the volume of an area is to know its capacity

When you measure something in meters cubed you are measuring?

Volume, which is the amount of space an object or substance occupies in three dimensions. One cubic meter is equal to the volume of a cube with edges measuring one meter.

Why is volume measured in cubed units?

Volume is measured in cubed units because volume is a three-dimensional measurement that involves length, width, and height. When measuring volume, we are essentially measuring the amount of space an object occupies in three dimensions. Cubing the units ensures that the measurement reflects this three-dimensional aspect, as opposed to just a single linear measurement.

What are the three common laboratory salts?

Examples: silver nitrate, barium chloride, sodium carbonate.

What are 3 units of volume?

Three units of volume are liters (L), cubic meters (m³), and milliliters (mL). Liters are commonly used for measuring liquids, while cubic meters are often used in construction and engineering for larger volumes. Milliliters are typically used for smaller quantities, such as in cooking or laboratory settings.

When measuring the amount of space in a three-dimensional figure you are finding what?

Its volume measured in cubic units.

Are the units of volume cubed or squared why?

Cubed. The reason is that space has three dimensions - and that is basically what we are measuring.

What is the method of calculating volume called?

The method of calculating volume is called volumetrics. It involves measuring the amount of space occupied by a three-dimensional object or substance.

What are 3 methods for measuring volume?

Three methods for measuring volume include the water displacement method, where an object is submerged in water to measure the volume of water displaced; using graduated cylinders or measuring cups for liquids, which provide direct volume readings; and calculating volume mathematically for regular shapes, such as cubes or cylinders, using formulas based on their dimensions. Each method is suitable for different types of materials and contexts.

When measuring the volume of an object you are finding the what?

When measuring the volume of an object, you are finding the amount of space that the object occupies. This is often measured in cubic units such as cubic meters or cubic centimeters. It is a way to quantify the three-dimensional size of an object.
