The Energy Policy Act of 2005 states that electric meters "Smart Meters" are to be made available to those who want it. However, it is not a mandate. States do not outlaw it, but there are some cities, particularly in California that ban the Smart Meter.
An electric transformer does not send electricity to the meter it supplies a source of power that is requested by the demand of the load. The meter is a device which totals the amount of power that you use. This is the amount that you are billed for. If your electrical bill is high only you can reduce it by decreasing the load demand.
Yes there is. See the link below http://www.paypoint.co.uk/locator.aspx
they must shut off the power to replace the meter this takes under 5 minutes if you are at the far end of a line you get lots of spikes and glitches and the digital meter is probably a bad idea it is the companys problem to give you the power you pay them for if it noisy and poor quality they should fix the problem, or use an analog meter that doesnt notice the trouble
Honestly, about the same amount of trouble you get into for putting pepper on it. Where you can really get into trouble is when you resort to more liquid condiments like ketchup or mustard. Heaven help you if you use jelly. Doesn't even MATTER which flavor. Just don't do it! Those meters are sealed against the elements.. salt would do nothing to the meter unless you had a 50 lb bag and bashed it with it... and even then..???? So my best guess is that since the meter isn't yours and belongs to the electric company you would end up paying for any damage you did to the meter. As far as theft of service.. it is like theft of anything else... the electric company may choose to turn off your electricity (forever) if they are concerned with theft of service and fine you on top of it...
The electrical power that you use from the utility company has to be metered. This is done with a plug in watt meter. The meter socket is what holds the electrical watt meter. It is this meter that the meter reader reads to give you your monthly billing for the electricity that you used.
it is use to measure electric potential (voltage).
it is use to measure electric potential (voltage).
An Electric meter , Copper Wire , Zinc, and of course vegetables
If there is an electric short, the resistance of the circuit would be zero. So you can use an ohm meter to test it.
yes , you can. we have 1kw meter and ac is running. some problem with it. but can use with 2kw meter very good.
An electricity meter
They have a meter in between their power line and your electical supply line going to your home circuit breaker panel. "Look fer it!"
Call your electric company and ask them to come and read the meter. Perhaps it needs recalibration. Also, many companies estimate your use based on prior years and don't read the meter every month. This means that there may not be a match between what is on your bill and what is on the meter.
Electric meters are read remotely using advanced technology such as smart meters and automated meter reading systems. These devices use wireless communication to send meter readings to utility companies without the need for manual readings by a person.

In the United States, some states allow a discount for cash if a person does not use a credit card, other states do not.
Electric guns use a battery to allow paintballs to be fired faster then their mechanical counter parts. You still need an air tank to operate them.
