- Fresh water animals - There are actually some pretty intense facts about fresh water animals. Like the Amazon River Dolphin. Most dolphins are known to swim in the ocean, but this dolphin is a fresh water animal. This dolphin is pretty rare, and they're getting harder to find! They seem to be under threat. You know, one of the longest alligators (which is also a freshwater animal) in the world was almost 20 feet long! They can even run up to 20 m.p.h. but just for a short distance. The Hippopotamus is one of the very few mammals to give birth underwater! River otters may seem small, but they are pretty great swimmers if they can dive down 60 feet!
Grassland:
- Grassland animals like the lion make prides. A pride is a group of animals, the leader being a male. There are also cheetahs, my favorite animal that can run up to 75 mph. They can reach 50 in about 3 seconds! The African elephant is the largest elephant in the world!
