In my particular case I am able to straighten my arm short of about 5 degrees to what it used to do and short of about 10 degrees when I try the other way that is I just miss out on being able to put my right hand on my right shoulder. I had the elbow replacement done about a year ago.

When the angle of a joint increases it produces movement wat type of movement is it?

When the angle of a joint increases, it produces a movement called "extension." This movement typically occurs in joints such as the knee or elbow, where the angle between the two bones becomes larger. Extension is the opposite of flexion, which decreases the angle between the bones at a joint.

What does flexion of the elbow cause to angle of the joint?

Flexion causes the angle of the elbow to decrease because you are moving your forearm closer to your bisep therefore the angle decreses. Extension is making the angle bigger for example, straightening you arm, you are extending your arm so that is where the term comes from

What is the possible movement at the elbow joint?

flexion and extension

What is the main type of movement at the elbow joint?

Flexion and extension

Which joint has a humeroulnar and humeroradial joint?

The elbow joint has a humeroulnar and humeroradial joint. The humeroulnar joint allows flexion and extension movements, while the humeroradial joint allows for pronation and supination movements.

How does the motion compare to how your elbow moves?

The motion of joints, like the elbow, involves flexion and extension, similar to how a door hinge moves. When you bend your elbow, it flexes, decreasing the angle between your forearm and upper arm. When you straighten it, it extends, increasing the angle. Both movements involve the rotation of the joint.

Does extension decrease the angle between two bones?

Flexion decreases the angle between two bones in a joint. Extension increases that angle.

When the angle of a joint increases it produces movement Which type of movement is it?

To increase the angle of a joint is extension. To decrease the angle of a joint is flexion. (plato users the answer is A.)

Increasing the angle of a joint?

extension

What type of joint is the elbow joint?

Elbow joint consists of three joints:Joint between trochlea of Humerus and Ulna is hinge joint (ginglymus joint).Joint between capitulum of humerus and head of radius is also a hinge joint.Joint between Upper ends of radius and ulna is pivot joint.

What muscle increase angle at joint?

Muscles that increase the angle at a joint are called extensor muscles. When these muscles contract, they pull the bones apart at the joint, resulting in an extension movement. For example, the triceps muscle extends the elbow, increasing the angle between the forearm and the upper arm. This action is crucial for various movements, such as straightening the arm.

What is the difference between muscle flexing and and muscle extension?

when u flex it, it tightens, when u extend it, it stretches Flexion is when a muscle action decreases the angle at a joint, extension is when the angle increases. A simple example is bicep curl, flexion is when the hand is brought up towards the shoulder, decreasing the angle at the elbow joint. Just because a muscle is performing flexion or extension does not not mean it is contracting or stretching, that is eccentric and concentric movement. A muscle can still be tight when performing extension.
