What are the causes of overpopulation of the human beings?

There are several causes of overpopulation:

• People have a continuous fertility cycle, we can produce children all year unlike animals with a fixed breeding period
• People eliminate natural causes of death from disease and hunger by medicine and agriculture
• People are living longer
• Infants are not dying in childbirth as frequently
• The social pressure to have children is strong in almost every culture
• Birth limiting programs (children by permit) are not in place and are frowned on by many cultures *
• Birth Control is not available in many cultures
• At the same time as population is increasing resources to support the population are dwindling

Some of the main causes are:

· High Birth Rate

· No contraception

· Low Infant Mortality Rate

· Children needed for work

· Children are a sign of virility

· Religion

· Migration

· Low death rate

· People live longer

· Lack of education

· Cultural influences
Most people want to have children, at some point in their lives, and they do not think about whether the nation or region or planet on which they live already has enough people or possibly too many people. They just think about their own personal lives, which, they believe (rightly or wrongly) would be enriched and made more fulfilled if they have children. And when enough people have enough children, the result is over population.
Whenever there is a baby boom, the population gets to very high levels.

When this becomes a problem because of food, over population occurs.
Lack of proper knowledge of birth control , ignorance and poverty.

the world is over populated because the human race has advanced beyond its means, that is to say, that why we have the ability to cure deciese and prolong life where people would have died. Also we have the unregulation of "birth control" means that we have unbalanced nature. this is evident the the fact that some things are incurable and should remain that way, and that we should start to practise medicine in a way similar to the way we do with animals that we consider inferior to the human race. If the human race shifts its belief that we need to cure all the problems of the race then the population will decrease, along with correct birth control measures.

The reason shelters are over crowding is because some people who own pets and don't get them fixed is one cause. When people pets give birth to babies they cannot take care of them and let them go on the streets. So animal rescuers catch them and take care of them. But they will have to put down a few animals to make room.

Another reason is that pet stores are shutting down so then puppy mills that give the pet store the puppies shut down because they don't get payed. Then the pet store give the rest of the dogs and puppies to the shelter.

Also another reason is that the shelter's animal rescues close down the puppy mills and take all the dogs to the shelter and have to put down the other dogs that don't get adopted to make room.
