There are many types of spiral-shaped bacteria mainly included in the phylum, Spirochaete. Within this phylum there are three families consisting of Brachyspiraceae, Leptospiraceae, and Spirochaetaceae all belonging in the single order, Spirochaetales. Two of the most medically relevant species include:
spirochaetes or tightly coiled
and spirilla or spiral shaped
The three shapes of bacteria are: coccus (spherical) bacillus (rod like) spiral - based on the configuration of cell wall. There are 2 types of spiral cells; they are spirochetes and spirilla.
Coccus (plural cocci): circular or spherical Bacillus (plural bacilli): rod-shaped Spirillum (plural spirilla): spiral shaped, long and thin.
The three main shapes for bacteria are coccus, bacillus, and spiral:Spherical or spheroidal shaped; rod shaped; and the spirochetes - spiral forms:Rod shaped (bacilli)Round shaped (cocci)and Spiral shaped (spirelli):Spirilla= spiralCocci = sphericalBacilli = rod.
Bacteria are classified based on their shape into three main body types: cocci (spherical), bacilli (rod-shaped), and spirilla (spiral-shaped).
1) Cocci 2) Bacilli 3) Spirilli

3 shapes of bacteria are spirilla (spiral), bacilla (rod-shaped), and cocci (spherical).
rod-shaped,ball-shaped,spiral-shaped etc
Three common shapes of bacteria are cocci (spherical), bacilli (rod-shaped), and spirilla (spiral-shaped). Each of these shapes has unique characteristics that can help in identifying different types of bacteria.

There are three main types of bacteria based on nutrition: heterotrophic bacteria obtain nutrients from organic compounds, autotrophic bacteria can manufacture their own food using inorganic compounds, and saprophytic bacteria obtain nutrients from decaying organic matter.
The three morphologies of prokaryotes are cocci (spherical), bacilli (rod-shaped), and spirilla (spiral-shaped). These morphologies vary in size, structure, and arrangement depending on the species of prokaryote.
