Something is down the drain, is rotting. The process of what ever garbage or organic material that is breaking down, to a lower chemical state, will often times give off the methaine gas as a by-product of the rotting or decaying process.
hope this helps.
ps. if you want to get rid of the smell, run lot's of water down to flush the pipes. If that does not work, you might want to get a router. A long piece of wire that rotates and breaks the garbage into smaller chuncks so that it can either be pulled back out of the pipes and thrown away or perhaps once broken down may be flushed with more water through the pipes.
Yes, methane, a dangerous greenhouse gas.
Liquids can smell due to the presence of volatile molecules that are released into the air and are detected by our sense of smell. These molecules can come from the liquid itself or from substances dissolved in the liquid. The smell of a liquid can give us information about its composition and quality.
Electronics can emit a strange smell due to the heating of components, dust accumulation, or the breakdown of materials. It could also be the smell of solder or adhesives used during manufacturing. Heating or burning of components can also cause a burnt smell.
The gas that comes from under the North Sea and burns with a blue flame is methane (natural gas). Methane is a commonly extracted gas from offshore platforms in the North Sea and is used for fuel and heating purposes. Its blue flame is characteristic of its clean combustion.
Cows are ruminants and have an active microbial population in their guts which releases methane. They also release some nitrogen from swallowed air, water vapour, and carbon dioxide.
I have seen this where water has leaked into the ductwork and stagnated.

The major air polluting gases include carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and sulfur dioxide (SO2). These gases contribute to air pollution and can have harmful effects on human health and the environment.
It depends.
Cats may come into the bathroom because they are curious about the running water, the smells, or they simply want to be near their human companions.

Cats often follow their owners to the bathroom because they are curious and want to be close to you. They see you as their family and want to be near you, even in the bathroom.
So basically, when I scratch my legs, they start to smell, AND I MEAN, SMELL. I have to get Oust out and everything. And when I'm in my bathroom I can't stand the smell, its not like meat which someone else suggested and its definitely nothing to do with my genitals. I shower twice a day and use herbal essences. Please help. This is not a joke. My friends and family won't come near me, and if they do, they just want to smell me. Its like Cocaine, they know its bad for them and they're gonna wake up the next morning feeling like really bad, but they just can't stop.
