Plums grow best in areas where rainfall occasionally falls during the summer and the humidity stays low. Dry leaves and fruit during the growing season discourage plant disease. Most plant diseases attack plum trees when the weather is wet for an extended period of time.
Plum trees are temperate fruit trees and need chilling to produce fruit. Basically, chilling hours breaks down into how many hours after the leaves fall off the plum trees are the trees exposed to 45 degree Fahrenheit or low temperatures during the winter. In cold winter areas, this is not an issue, but in mild winter locations it can prevent the developing of a yearly plum crop. Picking plum tree varieties with low chilling hours helps with producing a successful harvest.

The subarctic zone
The climate in the tropical zone is characterized by hot and humid weather.
A sub tropical climate is a wet warm climate zone on the edge of a tropic
In Zone 7, which typically has winter temperatures ranging from 0°F to 10°F (-18°C to -12°C), several fruit trees can thrive. Common fruit trees that can grow in Zone 7 include apple, pear, cherry, peach, and plum trees. It is important to select fruit tree varieties that are specifically suited to the climate and soil conditions of Zone 7 to ensure successful growth and fruit production. Additionally, providing proper care, such as adequate watering, pruning, and fertilization, will help these fruit trees thrive in Zone 7.
No,normally in greenland, there aren't trees because greenland have got an arctic climate in the polar zone. But in the southern part of greenland there is a subpolar zone with a warmer climate and there grow trees
in a temperate climate
blue spruce will grow well in hardiness zone 3 (Montana, Minnesota, N Dakota) to hardiness zone 7 (north Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama) and everywhere in between.
Mimosa trees (Albizia julibrissin) are not native to Ontario and may struggle to survive in its colder climate. They are more commonly grown in warmer regions. It is recommended to choose trees that are better suited to Ontario's climate to ensure successful growth.

Why do different perspectives exist
depends on the weather and variety of plum and apricot. mostly they need a rather cold winter requiring 300-600 cold hours to wake up properly, a mature tree will need about 10-12 liters of water per day (you can give it 30 liters every 3 days) and a sunny spring. you will get better flavour when there is a big temp difference between night and day during fruit growth in spring. I do not think so! check your temperature zone where i live its a zone 5 so when i bought my fruit trees i looked for a variety that will survive in zone 5. most nursery's have that info
The parts of Wisconsin that are zone 5 could grow the Chicago Hardy Fig.
Above the timber line is the alpine zone. This zone is an area in which trees cannot grow because the altitude makes it too cold for the trees to survive.
I believe and am hoping the Red Naval grows OK in Zone 9. Also certain lemon tress and Satsuma tangerine is said to grow in Zone 9. I have the same problem and am experimenting and planting with crossed fingers :-).
