The G stage, or gap phase, is a time in the cell cycle where the cell prepares for cell division. During this phase, the cell grows in size, synthesizes proteins and organelles, and carries out normal cellular functions. It is a critical period that ensures the cell is ready for DNA replication and division in the subsequent stages.
The color of the G- cell would be transparent or colorless if not counterstained with safranin. Safranin is a red/pink dye used in the Gram staining process to distinguish between Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, so without this counterstain, the G- cell would not have a visible color.

The M Phase occurs just prior to the completion of Cell division. After Cell division is complete, a new G-phase [G for Growth] begins. Several Other Phases logically [oops - biologically] ensue; {not Listed here} they do sequentially Result in the (above named) Phase that sequentially performs and completes Mitosis, and Cyto-Kinesis [the closing of the link between Daughter Cells], and finally Cell division.
C6H12O6(s) ===> C6H12O6 (g)Sublimation is going from a solid (s) to a gas (g) without going through the liquid phase. The chemical composition of the compound does not change.
