A climatologist is someone who collects data, investigates the indicators related to climate, and makes predictions about climate patterns. Using computer models, they can show how it is believed that the earth's climate has changed over time. They use tree rings, lake sediments, and glacial ice cores and other sources of information to theoretically determine what the earth's climate may have been like. Sophisticated computer programs check new data against the old, and make models of what has been learned. Also, climatologists conduct research to find out whether humans are affecting the earth's climate in any way. They are not limited to earth, however. Some climatologists study the climate of other planets, such as Mars.

A climatologist examines the changes in the climate and endeavor to predict long term forecasts. Climatologists are unlike meteorologists who study climate changes in the short term.
climatologist are people who study the climates of the world...or even other planets such as MARS. they study the climates, phenomenon, and often check to see if we are hurting the world by:not recycling, littering, polluting, ect.

A climate scientist or a climatologist would study global warming to understand its causes, impacts, and solutions. They analyze data from various sources to make predictions about how the Earth's climate is changing over time due to human activities.

A climatologist studies long-term patterns and trends in weather conditions to understand how they are changing over time. They analyze data, create models, and provide insights into how climate change impacts the environment, ecosystems, and societies. Their work helps policymakers, businesses, and communities make informed decisions to adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change.
