The sugar arabinose turns on expression of the GFP gene by binding to a regulatory protein, araC, which sits on the Pbad promoter. When arabisone is present, it binds to araC, consequently changing the conformation of araC which facilitates transcription of the gene by RNA polymerase. When exposed to UV light, the electrons in GFP's chromophere are excited to a higher energy state. WHen they drop down to a lower energy state they emit a longer wavelength of visible flourescent green light.

The rapid growth of the fastest-growing bacteria is influenced by factors such as favorable environmental conditions, availability of nutrients, and efficient cellular processes.

Can all bacteria grow on culture?

No, not all bacteria can grow on a culture. Some bacteria require extreme environmental factors to grow, and survive, which you can't really try on a culture plate.

Enviromental factor that affect bacteria growth?

Temperature, pH level, moisture, oxygen availability, and nutrient availability are key environmental factors that can affect bacteria growth. Each type of bacteria has specific preferences for these factors to support optimal growth and reproduction. Changes in any of these environmental conditions can either promote or inhibit bacterial growth.

How quickly does salt eliminate bacteria?

Salt can eliminate bacteria relatively quickly by causing dehydration and disrupting their cell membranes. The exact speed at which salt eliminates bacteria can vary depending on factors such as the concentration of salt, the type of bacteria, and environmental conditions.
