Unlike most cats, the cheetah does not usually ambush its prey or approach to within springing distance. It stalks an animal and then charges from about 76-110 yds. away. It is seldom successful if it attacks from a point over 215 yds. distant. The cheetah kills its prey by suffocation. The cheetah's small upper canines have small roots bounding sides of the nasal passage permitting air intake that enables the cheetah to maintain its relentless suffocating bite on the underside of the prey's throat. Vultures, hyenas, wild dogs and jackals sometimes drive the cheetah from its meal. This problem is minimized by the cheetah's stealth as a hunter and by its habit of dragging its prey to a hiding place before eating- The cheetah can only hunt effectively in open country where there is enough natural cover for it to stalk its prey from a few seconds to several hours before making its rapid chase. On average, an adult eats 6.2 lbs. of meat per day.
Tasty! -no, seriously: they run them down as they are the fastest mammal on fours legs, clocked over 65 miles per hour.
I am not sure about a mutual-ism connection but i now a parasitism connection which is a cheetahs prey when a cheetah gets its food that is food happy for it but for the poor animal its not.
A cheetah typically occupies the secondary consumer trophic level in a food chain or web. They primarily feed on herbivores such as gazelles, impalas, and zebras, which are primary consumers.
They are omnivores. If they are extremely hungry and can't catch any meat, they will eat berries or anything they can find, even if its herbs or just savanna grass.
They Eat All Sort Of Stuff :)
a food web shows what animals eat others. a energy pyramid shows all animals that eat the same thing.
in the ground of course
antelope
they eat us poeple
Cheetahs eat ONLY what they kill... they do not eat anything that was not killed by their kind.
it perfers to eat gazelles than any other animal in their food chain
they eat other animals like zebras and wildabeasts
The impacts of the cheetahs becoming endangered means that the eco-system in the cheetah's region becomes thrown off. The food that the cheetah eats will become overgrown. The animals that eat the cheetah will have less food.
A cheetah that wants to find food will either go for the hunt (going out and stalking prey) or sometimes when humans have started farming in the area try to kill and eat livestock.
Given an opportunity cheetah will eat food that it did not kill. However, it doesnt get a chance. Large predators like Lions can easily scare off a cheetah from its kill and eat the prey. But, the other way round cannot happen because Cheetahs are not big enough to scare any other predator in its environment.
what will eat a cheetah
Fast food because you have food and a cheetah, a cheetah is fast so you combine them together and get fast food
There is no certain times a day. A cheetah will eat whenever it can catch it's food.
