If there's no earth leakage protection unit in your main Distribution Board then the device will operate normally since the neutral and earth conductors are one on the supply side. But if there's Earth Leakage then because of the imbalance in the currents flowing through the Earth Leakage it will trap.

What is called 'earth wire' in Europe is called 'ground' in the US and is often bare. Using a bare conductor as a neutral exposes you to potential shock. If the bare wire is properly connected at the panel, all is fine. But if you touch this bare neutral and provide a better grounding connection than the panel provides, you become part of the circuit to whatever device that circuit supplies.

What is often missed in this scenario is that with the neutral being after the load, the load limits the current and your shock WILL NOT TRIP THE BREAKER.

Why dont you use earth wire place of neutral?

Earth is neutral, but only at the distribution panel and upstream from it. Downstream of the distribution panel, earth and neutral shall not interchange or cross connect their connections or their roles - earth is protective ground - and neutral the current carrying return conductor.

How does the earth's atmosphere connect to tornadoes?

Like all weather events on earth, tornadoes take place within and as a part of earth's atmosphere. They are produced by thunderstorms, which are driven by thermodynamic instability in earth's atmosphere.

Can a live and earth wire be joined together in a light switch?

Physically yes, but to no avail. The breaker will trip instantaneously as a short circuit will have been introduced into the circuit with this action. In all wiring the live must never be connected directly to earth. The only place where the neutral and earth are connected together is at the distribution panel where the utility's supply neutral joins the system earth on the distribution panel's neutral bus bar.

What will be happen if you use earthing in place of neutral in any circuit?

* * * DANGER * * * DANGER * * * DANGER * * *Do not, under any circumstances, use earth ground instead of neutral in a circuit. Besides being a violation of the US National Electrical Code, and probably the applicable electrical code for any country that has an existing neutral system in place, it constitutes a hazard because the earth ground conductor is not rated to carry operational current. It is only there to carry momentary fault current so as to trip the protective device (fuse or circuit breaker) in the distribution panel. Also, placing operational current on protective earth ground can raise the voltage on that conductor, creating the potential for an electrocution hazard.

When does a eclipse happen?

A solar eclipse takes place when the moon moves directly between the sun and the earth. A lunar eclipse takes place when the earth is directly between the sun and the moon.

How do you wire an AFCI breaker?

To wire an AFCI breaker, first turn off the power to the circuit. Then, connect the hot wire to the breaker's terminal, the neutral wire to the neutral bar, and the ground wire to the ground bar. Finally, snap the breaker into place in the electrical panel.

What position would you find live electrical wire?

You would find a live electric wire, with a neutral and usually also an earth wire, in any place where electricity is used. The wires are colour coded differently in different areas but in Europe live is brown, neutral is blue and earth is green/yellow.

What would happen if the earth lost it's gravitational pull holding the moon in place?

There won't be any gravitation on earth so then we will be floating in mid air.
