Depends from which height. If it's a short distance chances are it will remain as it was before. If it's from a long distance it will probably be damaged to a certain extent. Basically the same answer if you dropped anything although a compass is certainly more fragile.
If you follow a compass going north, you reach close to the North Pole.
If a compass is placed on a metal trunk, the magnetic field around the trunk may interfere with the compass needle, causing it to point in the direction of the metal trunk rather than true north. This can result in inaccurate readings and make it difficult to determine the correct direction.
it's okay, as long as you didn't drop it really far off the ground. I'm sure it's perfectly fine.
The compass needle.
A compass rose.
A drop bow compass permits the center leg to remain stationary while the pen or pencil rotates around the center shaft and is used especially for drawing small circles.

Nothing 'happens'.
gago.
It breaks....... How stupid are for asking that
gago.
Nothing 'happens'.
can you explain this as it not clear what unofficial drop kick means.
the arrow goes to the magnet
When a compass is held close to a wire carrying a current, the magnetic field produced by the current will deflect the compass needle. This happens because a magnetic field is generated around the wire due to the flow of current, and the compass needle aligns itself with this magnetic field. The deflection of the compass needle can be used to determine the direction of the current in the wire.
They smash.
it clicks
