When the O2 Sensors are malfunctioning or missing ,The On Board Computer sets the fuel/air ratio to a default setting. Resulting in really poor gas mileage . Roughly around 12mpg *yuck* (at least this is what I got in a simliar situation on my '96 Dodge Ram 1500) The OBC uses the readings it gets from the O2 Sensors to properly calculate fuel/air ratios ect... So by all means replace them. Unless you like to fill up every two blocks and pay $4 a gallon each time. Hope this helps :)
To fix a P0141 error code related to the oxygen sensor heater circuit on a 1996 Oldsmobile, you can first check the wiring and connections related to the sensor. If those are fine, then the oxygen sensor itself might need to be replaced. It's important to use a quality replacement sensor compatible with your vehicle to ensure proper function.

Usually that means the doors are open. If they are closed, its probably the door switch. Easy and inexpensive part to fix. Its the little black switch located on the B- and C-pillars near the latch. Two screws and a electrical quick disconnect and its out. Install is reverse.

Nope. The computer doesn't even look at the oxygen sensor until the oxygen sensor reaches operating temperature.
What about it? Where is the rest of the question?
It doesn't have a mass airflow sensor.
