Trisomy is defined as the presence of three homologous chromosomes. For example, Down's Syndrome is caused by trisomy-21, 3 copies of chromosome 21.
The presence of three copies of a particular chromosome is known as trisomy. This genetic condition can lead to developmental abnormalities, such as Down syndrome which is caused by trisomy of chromosome 21.
A trisomy is when a person has 3 versions of a chromosome. 'Normal' humans will only have 2 of each chromosome. For example, having 3 versions of chromosome 21 is known as Trisomy 21 or Down Syndrome.
The presence of three copies of a chromosome is known as a trisomy. An example would be Trisomy 21, also known as Down Syndrome.
Trisomy is usually not inherited but occurs as a random event during cell division. However, in some cases, trisomy can be inherited from a parent with a balanced translocation. It is important to consult with a genetic counselor to understand the specific risks and inheritance patterns associated with trisomy.

Trisomy an abnormality in chromosomal development.
Its not a question of dominant or recessive, because Trisomy doesn't refer to a gene. Trisomy is a chromosome disjunction, meaning that its a failure at the level of chromosomes. In most cases it is caused by a triple of the 21st chromosome (normal people just have it two times). So in Meiosis this triplett wouldl be theoretically split: one in the first daughter cell and two in the second cell. (We ignore the low chance of another disjunction, were all three copies of the 21st chromosome get in one daughter cell and none in the other). Mathematically the chance of passing trisomy on is roughly about 50%. But most people with that trait aren't fertile.
A trisomy. A monosomy is when there is only one of a chromosome. A trisomy is when there are three of a chromosome. In Klinefelter's syndrome, there are three sex chromosomes.
Another name for trisomy-21, commonly known as Down syndrome, is trisomy 21.

neither, it is not heridetary, it happens when there is a problem between sperm and egg and some of the cells don't split properly. it's a chance occurence
Trisomy is defined as the presence of three homologous chromosomes. For example, Down's Syndrome is caused by trisomy-21, 3 copies of chromosome 21.
A trisomy is a condition in which a person has three copies of a chromosome instead of the usual two copies. A person can have full trisomy (three copies in every cell) or mosaic trisomy (three copies in some cells but not all).
