PHS stands for the Public Health Service also referred to as the United States Public Health Services (USPHS).

The U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps is an elite team of close to 6,500 full-time, well-trained, highly qualified public health professionals dedicated to delivering the Nation's public health promotion and disease prevention programs and advancing public health science. Driven by a passion for public service, these men and women serve on the frontlines in the Nation's fight against disease and poor health conditions.

As one of America's seven uniformed services (along with the Army, Navy, Air Force Marines, Coast Guard, and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration), the USPHS, also referred to as the Commissioned Corps, fills essential public health leadership and service roles within the Nation's Federal Government agencies and programs. The Corps has officers in many professions, including:

Physician

Dentist

Nurse

Pharmacist

Dietitian

Engineer

Environmental health officer

Mental health specialist, including clinical psychologist and clinical social worker

Health services officer

Scientist/researcher

Therapist (includes occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, and audiology)

Veterinarian

The Commissioned Corps is an essential component of the largest public health program in the world. Corps officers may apply to a variety of positions throughout the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and certain non-HHS Federal agencies and programs that offer exciting professional opportunities in the areas of disease control and prevention; biomedical research; regulation of food, drugs, and medical devices; mental health and drug abuse; health care delivery; and international health. Corps officers may apply to vacancies within the following organizations. Contact information for each Commissioned Corps liaison follows agency descriptions. Applicants to the Corps are encouraged to subscribe to the Commissioned Corps Jobs Listeserv, located at http://dcp.psc.gov/v_maillist.asp.

What is the most acidic pH 10 pH 3 pH 2 pH 6 pH 8 pH 12 pH 1 pH 75?

pH 1 is the most acidic, as it is closest to 0 on the pH scale. Lower pH values indicate higher acidity.

What solutions is the weakest acid pH of 2.4 pH of 5.2 pH of 6.4 pH of 8.6 or pH of 10.1?

pH=6,4

Do you use pH or PH?

neither pH

How you can test the pH of solution?

You can test the pH of a solution using pH strips, pH meters, or pH indicator solutions. With pH strips, you simply dip the strip into the solution and compare the color change to a pH color chart. pH meters provide a digital pH value by immersing the electrode into the solution. pH indicator solutions change color based on the pH of the solution, allowing for a visual estimation of pH.

How do we find out the pH?

The pH is determined with a pH-meter.

How do you measure pH accurately in a solution?

To measure pH accurately in a solution, you can use a pH meter or pH strips. A pH meter provides a digital reading of the pH level, while pH strips change color based on the pH level of the solution. Simply dip the pH meter probe or pH strip into the solution and read the pH value indicated.

Which ranges on the pH scale are acidic basic and neutral?

pH 0 < acidic < pH 7 neutral = pH 7 pH 7 < basic < pH 14

What pH values indicates a solution with the highest concentration of hydrogen ions pH equals 1 or pH equals 2 or Ph equals 7or pH equals 14?

pH = 14 is basic pH = 7 is neutral pH - 1 and 2 are acidic; pH = 1 is more acidic than pH = 2 Therefore a solution at pH 1 has higher concentration of H+ than at pH 14

What is the most acidic pH 10 pH 3 pH 2 pH 6 pH 8 pH 12 pH 1 pH 7.5?

The lower the pH, the more acidic the solution is. Remember, pH 7.0 is H2O. As pH decreases below 7, the solution's acidity increases. As pH increase above 7, the basicity of the solution increases. Hence, in the choices you provided, pH 1.0 is most acidic.

Which is the most acidic pH 2 pH 5 pH 7 or pH 11?

Most acidic is substance of pH of 2, then of pH of 5 and the substance of pH 7 is neutral and the substance of pH 11 is basic

What can be used to get a pH value?

A pH meter or pH test strips can be used to measure the pH value of a solution. pH meters provide a numerical value of the pH, while pH test strips change color based on the pH level of the solution, allowing for an approximation of the pH value.

What is the pH of tomatoes ketchup?
