A hair bump is a result of an ingrown hair which tends to develop at the hair shaft's end. They have pointy sharpened end and normally will try to grow straight but if they're prevented from doing that they curl back into themselves and re enter into the same follicle that they were trying to grow out of ,when they occur, a hair bump is formed . Boils are skin infection involving an entire hair follicle and the tissues around it. They can occur anywhere on the body. They're common in the face, neck, thigh, armpit and chin. The difference between the two is that, a hair bump is caused by ingrown hair under the skin whereas the boil is caused by bacteria. They both can heal without treatment.

When an oil gland gets infected, it can form a pimple, also known as a pustule. This is caused by the buildup of bacteria and other debris within the skin's pores. If the infection is more severe, it can lead to the formation of a larger, painful bump called a boil.

Well, there is no difference in terms of the act of "boiling," but there is a grammatical difference. Saying "bring it to the boil" is unnecessary. There is no need for using the definite article "the" for "boil". Merely say or write "bring to boil" or "boil." These are good enough.
An ingrown hair can be differenciated from a boil because it is a smaller red bump with a hair in it, and usually doesnt inflame as big as a boil. A boil gets very red and hurts to touch it may look like an ingrown hair in the first stages but it gets very big and soon drains pus and blood. They sometimes get a purplish tint or discoloration rather than just red.

There is little or no difference between these words, both meaning to be in a state of agitation. Seethe may suggest being in a state of inward agitation. Boil may be more of a external visual state of agitation. The word 'seethe' is more of an archaic word derived from the Old English 'seopan' meaning 'to boil'.
A lump usually refers to a mass or swelling beneath the skin, commonly due to tissue growth or inflammation. On the other hand, a bump is a raised area on the skin that can be caused by various factors such as injury or insect bites. Essentially, a lump is a more generalized term for any abnormal growth or swelling, while a bump is more specific to a raised area on the skin.
