solid is one piece, and when one tire goes up, the other must go down,

and independent is each individual tire is its own piece/section, and contrary to solid suspension, any of the tires can go up and down, without one having to go up if one is down.

I hope that makes sense.

A solid axle suspension is a type of suspension system where both wheels on an axle are connected together by a rigid beam or axle. This design helps to provide increased stability and strength, making it suitable for off-road vehicles and heavy-duty trucks. However, it can result in a harsher ride compared to independent suspension systems.

Is 4 wheel independent suspension same as all wheel drive?

No. Two very different things. Independent suspension just means that you don't have a solid axle running between the wheels.. All wheel drive is a traction control mechanism which engages, disengages, locks, and unlocks all four wheels to provide constant traction and forward driving force.
