Because the boson is thought of as a force carrier and not matter, it doesn't have chemical potential. A link can be found below.

Actually, this is true only when their number is not conserved... the spin of the boson is m=(+or-)1,2,3,... any integer.

So the chemical potential is zero only for particles who are not conserved (photon...)

Otherwise, it may be huge... and quite often negative... as in the classical limit, when the number of accessible state tend to be considerable, the chemical potential will tend toward negative infinity.

How much greater mass does the Z boson have when compared to electron mass?

The Z boson has a mass of approximately 91.2 GeV/c², while the mass of an electron is about 0.511 MeV/c². This means the Z boson is roughly 186,000 times more massive than an electron. This significant mass difference plays a crucial role in the interactions mediated by the Z boson in the weak nuclear force.

Is the Higgs boson a portal to the 5th dimension?

No, the Higgs boson is a hypothetical particle believed to explain why some particles in the Standard Model have mass larger than zero. However if it cannot be found there is an alternate theory called "Technicolor" that might explain this. Higgs is just a simpler theory to work with than Technicolor, so it is currently preferred as well as being easier to test with current technology.

Is a boson heavier than a uranium particle?

No, bosons do not have mass in the same way as particles like uranium. Bosons are force carrier particles, like photons and W and Z bosons, which have zero rest mass. On the other hand, uranium particles, like uranium atoms, have mass due to the protons, neutrons, and electrons they consist of.

Is God Particle the same as Dark Matter?

The Higgs Boson (nicknamed the "God Particle", in one of history's WORST choices for a popular name) is a particle predicted by the existence of the Higgs Field, a hypothesis created to explain why some particles have mass and some don't. If it turned out that the Higgs Boson did NOT exist, then a lot of science over the last forty years would have to be thrown out. However, that boson was found, fairly close to the mass predicted -- meaning the Higgs Field can continue to be used, and the Standard Model remains the basic idea of particle physics. However, the Higgs Field, and its accompanying boson, have nothing to do with dark matter. That latter stuff (whatever it happens to turn out to be) interact with baryonic matter (ie, the stuff we understand) through gravity, and not much else. Dark matter is out there, as we can clearly see its effects -- we just don't know what it IS. But it can't be the Higgs Field, or its boson, as the field has no mass and the boson is so unstable as to disappear in less than a billionth of a trillionth of a second. Dark matter, in contrast, has been unchanged over billions of years.

Can a Higgs Boson create a bomb?

unlikely, but it would need serious studies humans are unable to reach for hundreds of years, there are quite a few big big steps to that

What percentage of an atom's mass is caused by the Higgs boson?

About 2% of an atom's mass is caused by the Higgs boson. The rest is due to the effect of the Strong Nuclear Force.

What gives Higgs boson its mass?

The "Higgs Field".

Why defined the mass of electron?

by a particle called higgs boson

What is boson particle?

The boson particle is usually associated with the Higgs field. It is an energy field that transmits the mass to the things that travel through it.

How the higgs boson got its name?

It is a boson, a type of particle, that is a part of the Higgs mechanism, a theory of how particles can have mass if they are just energy

If the Higs Boson is responsible for the mass of other particles why does it have mass itself?

The same mechanism applies.

What is a Z-boson?

A Z-boson is an elementary particle that mediates the weak nuclear force. It is electrically neutral and is involved in processes such as neutrino interactions and particle decays. The Z-boson has a mass of about 91 GeV/c².

What is the weight of higgs boson?

The Higgs boson has a mass of approximately 125 GeV/c^2, which is about 2.2 x 10^-25 kilograms.

Has the Higgs boson been found yet?

We are not sure if the theorized Higgs boson is real or not. If it is, it would be provide some support to ideas about what mass (and, therefore, gravity, which is associated mass) really is. We're still looking for experimental support that the Higgs boson is real, and now that the Large Hadron Collider is up and running, all (interested) eyes are on CERN and awaiting results.

What subatomic particle causes mass?

*IF* the Higgs Field gives an explanation for why some particles have mass and others don't, and *IF* the Higgs Boson is a part of this field; then the discovery of the Higgs Boson would be a major breakthrough in supporting the Higgs Field, and thus the continued use of "The Standard Model." If it is NOT found, then scientists are almsot back to the drawing board. Because of these facts, the Higgs Boson is called, completely erroneously, the particle that creates mass or (worse) the "God Particle." Even the person who first used that term to describe the Higgs Boson hates the use of it. As of this week, scientists at CERN predict that the existence of the Higgs Boson will be known within a year.

What is the significance of the scalar boson in particle physics?

The scalar boson, also known as the Higgs boson, is significant in particle physics because it helps explain how particles acquire mass. Its discovery in 2012 confirmed the existence of the Higgs field, which is responsible for giving particles their mass. This discovery was a major milestone in understanding the fundamental forces and particles that make up the universe.

Can the Higgs boson's infinite mass be used as an infinite energy source?

Where did you hear the Higg's Boson had infinite mass? If it did no accelerator could possibly make it and it could never be found. Yet they make accelerators of ever greater power hoping to find it someday.
