No one knows exactly why people are homosexuals. There are many theories though. Some people believe in the gay gene, which hasn't exactly been proven true but that's what i personally believe in. Another theory is influence. If you are surrounded by gays, you could become gay. But that hasn't been proven, it's usually just sterotypical thinking. Some also say it's due to some personal trauma such as rape or abuse but not every lesbian has been raped or abused in any way. In fact, most aren't. In some religions, women and men as well become homosexual by being possessed by evil spirits. Science has said that every species of animal has homosexual tendencies in order to preserve their gender or something like that. The point is, there is more than one reason a girl.can be lesbian. Many environmental factors play a role in it. It all depends on their genes, who they are, how they became themselves. A lesbian can't help who she is.
