I'm doing the same quiz for homeschooling your doing.

BIOLOGY - UNIT 2: CHEMISTRY OF LIFEQUIZ 3: CHEMICAL REACTIONS

I would say, exchange because when the atoms "bond" their not removing or taking away electrons from each other but just combining. so Im going to say exchange. I could be wrong though, but we've already used the other 3 choices already in the quiz. Good Luck!

What kind of reaction is formed when ionic or covalent bonds are broken and elements ions or simpler molecules are formed?

Ionic bonds break through a reaction called ionization, where ions with opposite charges are formed. Covalent bonds break through a reaction called cleavage, where simpler molecules or atoms are formed.

What reaction occurs when a molecule is formed from the bonding of atoms ions or simpler molecules?

Chemical bonding occurs when atoms, ions, or molecules combine to form a new molecule. This process involves the sharing or transfer of electrons between the bonding entities to achieve a stable configuration, resulting in the formation of a new compound with unique chemical properties.

A molecule is a particle formed as a result of?

Molecules are formed by the bonding of atoms.

What is the type of reaction that occurs when complex molecules are formed from simpler molecules and water is removed?

The condensation polymerization takes place by removal of water molecules from organic molecules as formation of Bakelite , Terylene and Nylon. in plants starch is also formed by this mechanism from Glucose molecules.

How many water molecules will the bonding of four simple sugars produce?

The bonding of sugars is a condensation reaction, producing one water molecule with each reaction. To bond four simple sugars, three bondings are required, which means three water molecules are produced.

What term is defined as molecules formed by bonding of two monosaccharides?

disaccharide

What molecule is formed by covalent bonding?

A molecule formed by covalent bonding is a water molecule (H2O). In a covalent bond, atoms share electrons to achieve a full outer shell and form stable molecules.

What bonding forms Molecules?

A water molecule is formed by two O-H bonds. Water molecules are attracted to each other by the intermolecular force; hydrogen bonding.

Particles formed from covalent bonding is?

They are molecules. No they are generally called molecules. However there are polyatomic ions that are charged molecules, such as SO42-

What does the term disaccharide mean?

A disaccharide is a type of sugar formed by the bonding of two monosaccharide molecules. This bond is typically a glycosidic bond, formed through a dehydration reaction. Common examples of disaccharides include sucrose, lactose, and maltose.

What chemical reaction formed these large molecules joined the monomers?

This is a polymerization reaction.

What is the process in which sugar is formed in photosynthesis are broken into simpler molecules?

The process in which sugar is formed in photosynthesis is called carbon fixation. During this process, carbon dioxide molecules are taken in by plants and converted into simple sugar molecules through a series of chemical reactions catalyzed by enzymes. These sugar molecules serve as the primary energy source for the plant and are essential for its growth and development.
