A chromosome is primarily made up of two discrete ingredients: DNA and proteins. The DNA molecule contains the genetic information, while proteins, especially histones, help package and condense the DNA into a compact structure, allowing it to fit within the cell nucleus. Together, these components form the chromatin that constitutes chromosomes during cell division.

Chromatids
Two (2). Before DNA replication, each chromosome is composed of a single chromatid. After replication, but before separation of the chromatids during anaphase, this is true.
Because of homologous pairs of chromosomes. One chromosome from the puppies mother and one from the father make up the 78 chromosomes of dogs. One allele on the mom chromosome and one on the dad chromosome, even if there are more than two alleles for the trait only two will be represented in the genome.
A centromere and a pair of sister chromatids
Two chromatids connected at the centromere make up one chromosome.

Yes, integers are discrete. Real and rational numbers have a special property that we can find another one of them between any two. This is what makes them NOT discrete. Between any two integers, say 1 and 2, we cannot find another integer. They are discrete.Things we can count are discrete. For example, the number of questions answered during the answerthon is discrete. Temperature is not discrete.
The two types are integrated and discrete. Discrete video cards are much better than integrated.

in a homologous chromosome there are two chromosomes ( a chromosome and a sister chromosome)
