Seventy percent of New Zealand's electricity comes from renewable sources of energy.

New Zealand gets most of its electricity from hydro-power. This is generated from turbines in dams and rivers.

The next biggest generator of power is geothermal energy. This captures the heat from below the ground and uses that to produce electricity.

New Zealand is a country which is based on farming and it has lot of open land too so they have series of wind millsplanted in the barren lands which is very viable economically and it is helping New Zealanders very much as they are getting renewable electricity throughout the whole year.

also gas oil and coal power for those who want to destroy the planet!
