Astronomy is the study of objects in space, such as planets, stars, galaxies, and other celestial bodies. Astronomers use telescopes and other tools to observe and analyze these objects to better understand the universe.
Galileo Galilei is credited with being the first to use a telescope to study the heavens systematically in the early 17th century. His observations of celestial bodies through the telescope led to significant discoveries in astronomy.

In the early 1600's, the "Telescope" was invented, this in turn changed astronomy forever.
You use scientific notation in astronomy to compute very large or very small numbers.
The primary tools used in early astronomy were a compass to measure directions, a sextant (or octant) to measure angles in the sky, a watch and a telescope.

Man has a special gift...curiosity . From early ages, man has been curious about everything around him, the origin of everything around him. Man had questions like what is moon, sun, those twinkling lights in the sky..how is our earth, etc. Astronomy developed as slowly slowly man started answering such questions. Today the use of astronomy is to answer many unanswered questions like where did we all come from, and is it the end?
