Ion Antonescu ruled Romania between 1940 and 1944.

His rule began as a government puch, during his rule he was a war-criminal, and as such, he died in the Jilava prison in 1946.

For more info, see: http://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ion_Antonescu

* He was considered a criminal only by the Russians, communists and some traitors. For Romanians he is still a patriot and a fighter for the freedom of Romania ! He was assassinated near the Jilava prison in June 1946.

Which ion is isoelectric with Rn?

Po --> Polonium (gains 2 electrons to complete octet rule) Ra --> Radium (loses 2 electrons to complete octet rule) Both end up with 86 electrons, the same amount that Rn (Radon) has.

The octet rule is the tendency to have electrons in the shell after ion formation or bond formation?

Yes, the octet rule states that atoms tend to gain, lose, or share electrons in order to have a full outer shell with eight electrons, which is considered stable. This stability is achieved by achieving the electron configuration of a noble gas.

How does the rule of zero charge help you predict the formula of an ion compound?

The rule of zero charge states that in an ionic compound, the total positive charge from cations must equal the total negative charge from anions for the compound to be neutral. This rule allows you to determine the ratio of cations to anions in the compound, aiding in predicting the formula of the ion compound.

What is the rule for making a positive ion which has positive charge?

To create a positive ion, an atom must lose one or more of its electrons, which are negatively charged. This loss results in a net positive charge because the number of protons (positively charged) exceeds the number of electrons. The resulting positive ion is known as a cation. For example, when a sodium atom loses one electron, it becomes a sodium ion (Na⁺).

How many electrons are gained or lost in barium?

In the ion of barium, two electron are lost to follow the octet rule (to have a complete valence electron shell).
