Purple litmus (neutral) become red in acidic solutions.
Litmus is red at a pH under 4,5.
Sulphuric acid is mixed with copper oxide to make copper sulphate through a chemical reaction.
These acids doesn't react; they are only mixed.
If you want the general term, it's "indicator". If you want a specific one ... methyl red, litmus, or bromothymol blue are some examples (there are lots of others).

bright red / pink unless it kills the dye. I would try adding dilute amounts first. As a general rule Acids will turn litmus red / pink and bases will turn litmus blue / green
It's purple the colour can change slightly. isn't that just great purple it's my favourite colour ya know
