The P0405 code on a Saturn indicates an issue with the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) sensor circuit A. This could be caused by a faulty EGR sensor, damaged wiring, or a poor connection. It is important to diagnose and repair the root cause to prevent potential engine performance issues.
The Pressure Feedback EGR valve on a 1994 Mercury Topaz is typically located on or near the intake manifold. It is usually mounted on the side of the engine and connected to the exhaust gas recirculation system. You may need to consult the vehicle's service manual for the exact location.
Check for oil leak(s) underneath the car...this might be messing up your electrical connections. According to my 1984-1994 Tempo/Topaz Repair Manual. It is the Exhaust Gas Recircuation (EGR)valve. A Malfunctioning EGR valve can cause 1 or more of the folloming syptoms: 1) Detonation, 2) rough idle or stalls on deceleration. 3) Hesitation or surge. 4)Abnromally low power at wide open throttle. My 94 Topaz has the same porblem, expect I replaced my EGR valve and it still acts up. So I'm check ing the other parts of that system. The EGR Transducer, and the EGR Vacuum Regulator (EVR). Have your fuel injectors cleaned. About $100 at a garage. When they get hot they gum up because of deposits. Check the distributor, that was the problem with mine, I needed a new one
Answernote: I already had the fuel filter replaced so please don't tell me thatCheck your throttle position sensor, along with with your mass air flow sensor, there have been situations when the egr valve can cause this issue
Selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems are designed to reduce NOx emissions by converting nitrogen oxides into nitrogen, water, and carbon dioxide using a catalyst and a reducing agent such as urea.
EGR valve is located between the head and battery. Its a cylindrical shaped part with a connecter going to the top of it. Its held on with 2 13mm bolts.
The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve on a 2002 Saturn L200 is typically located on the engine's intake manifold, near the throttle body. It is mounted on the rear side of the engine, making it somewhat difficult to access. To reach it, you may need to remove some components or cover for better visibility and access. Always consult a repair manual for detailed instructions specific to your vehicle.
You clean or replace it.
Where is the EGR unit located on a 2001 Chevy Impala? picture please
There is no pressure sensor. The EGR valve is located on the head next to the battery. Cleaning it is usuallu the first step if there are any SES codes associated with the valve.
The EGR valve is located on the driver's side of the engine on a 2001 Pathfinder. It is near the throttle body.
It doesn't have an egr valve.
The EGR valve on a 2001 Astra 1.8 SRI is located on the intake manifold. It is at the rear of the engine.
The 2001 Honda Odyssey EGR valve is located on the outside of the air cleaner housing. You will find the valve, on the back of the housing.
Looking down on the engine, the EGR valve is to the right of the rocker cover, connected to the head.
no egr valve on 1999 to 2001 2.4 alero
EGR is on the top of the engine next to the throttle body. If your looking at the engine from the front. It would be to the right of the black valve cover and to the back. That is the egr valve, from 1994 and up the egr solenoid is located under the car above the starter.
