Genesis Flood
The theory of plate tectonics easily explains the distribution of mesosaurus. When mesosaurus was alive, all of the continents were massed together into the supercontinent Pangaea. Therefor, South America and Africa met because there was no Atlantic Ocean, so the distribution of mesosaurus makes complete sense.
Locations where ancient fossils are found can provide significant evidence for continental drift by demonstrating that similar species existed on continents that are now widely separated. For example, identical fossils of the Mesosaurus, a freshwater reptile, have been discovered in both South America and Africa, suggesting these landmasses were once connected. Additionally, the distribution of plant fossils, like glossopteris, across continents supports the idea that they were once part of a single landmass. These findings align with the theory of plate tectonics, which explains the movement of continents over geological time.
The theory of continental drift.
The theory of continental drift, proposed by Alfred Wegener, explains how continents have moved over geological time. Three puzzling occurrences supporting this theory include the jigsaw-like fit of South America and Africa, the presence of similar fossils (like Mesosaurus) found on widely separated continents, and the matching geological formations, such as mountain ranges, on different continents. These similarities suggest that continents were once joined and have since drifted apart, challenging the notion of static landmasses.
the theory of plate tectonics
It is based on the fact that all the oldest hominid fossils have been found in Africa. As a result of that the theory goes that human life originated in Africa.

its when you have dinosaurs on the west side of Africa and fossils of dino's on the east side of south america.... yepp thats how it is.
Archaeology is the study of 'human activity' and palaeontology is the study of 'fossils'. Meaning that whenever someone found bones/fossils, palaeontology has helped use DNA to find how long the bones/fossils have been there for. Archaeology has helped prove what palaeontology found out.
We find matching types of ancient fossils separated on coinciding land masses across the Atlantic Ocean, where Brazil would abut Africa.

it is a Theory! :)

We know better.
One reason of how they was NOT is : Africans crossed into South America when Africa and South America were one continent.
The clincher was that the fossil record on the coastlines of both continents were identical.
