LCT is a Chinese made engine ( made in China of course), they're cheaper to make so companies like Ariens and other companies can sell their products cheaper. After researching this engine it's basically a Honda clone. They're still fairly new so nobody really knows how long these ones will last. I've been reading up on this engine too, since I'm shopping for a snow blower.
I'd rather wait for a few years to see how this engines last before forking out $$ for a blower with an engine that may only last 6 winters. Then you would have to buy another engine, as where you could've spent the few extra $$ for a Briggs and Stratton. In this case I'll let everybody else be the guinea pig for this engine.

Hurricane force winds can affect a larger area than storm surge, as they extend outwards from the center of the storm. Storm surge, on the other hand, is a localized phenomenon that occurs near the coast when a hurricane makes landfall. Both can cause significant damage and pose a threat to coastal communities.
No, a force 12 storm on the Beaufort scale is classified as "hurricane force" but does not necessarily mean it is a hurricane. Hurricanes are tropical cyclones that form over warm ocean waters, while a storm reaching force 12 on the Beaufort scale can occur in different weather systems.
Tropical storm force winds typically extend outward up to 185 miles from the center of a hurricane, but can sometimes reach even farther depending on the size and intensity of the storm. It's important to note that these winds can still cause significant damage and should be taken seriously when preparing for a storm.
That is highly variable and is in fact a measure of the hurricane's size. The radius of tropical storm force winds in a hurricane can be less than 100 miles, to more than 600 miles.

Force your fecal matter to hold a crayon, then hold a gun to it's head and give it a coloring book. I've done it before - your feces will color up a storm.
