Galileo Galilei was the oldest of six children. Only three siblings survived infancy. The youngest was named Michelangelo. The other two were sisters. Their names are often listed as Livia and Virginia, although those are also the names given to his daughters. It is unknown if the girls' names are fact or if rewrites of historical accounts have gotten them confused.
