There Position is often no satisfied. i.e. their job is to decompose the dead remain. every animal dies in a food chain and also it may be decomposed by the decomposer at every step. So their position is not defined....

At the base plants, at the top the apex predators and all down one side the decomposers.
Producers (plants), consumers (animals that eat plants or other animals), scavengers (those that eat dead things), and decomposers (those that eat and break down other deceased organisms) affect the food chains and food webs of an ecosystem or habitat.
Decomposers are last in food chains, so they can be 4th or 5th trophic level depending upon the food chain or food web:-producers-primary consumers-secondary consumers-ter. or quatr. and so on consumers-decomposers
Atmospheric carbon enters food chains mainly through photosynthesis, where plants take in carbon dioxide from the air and convert it into organic carbon compounds. These plants are then consumed by herbivores, which in turn are consumed by carnivores, transferring the carbon up the food chain. Decomposers break down the organic matter, releasing carbon back into the environment.
They all have a flow of energy. The amount of energy available decreases as the food chain increases.
If decomposers were not t the end of all food chains then the food chains would not be able to work. This is because the nutrients would not be returned to the producers.

None. Decomposers are often not included in food chains, but examples of them would be fungi and bacteria.
it is a depending consuling process of decomposers where, animals die and plants ...
This is whyIt helps keep producers, consumers, and decomposers not extinct.

becuse thay do
From what I learned in my science class we would always Put the decomposers at the very bottom but I don't know if that is correct.since a food web is many overlapping food chains that show how energy flows through an ecosystem I think that the producers should be at the very bottom. Sorry
in a food chain or food web , at the very bottom . The food web consists in this order , from bottom to top - decomposers , producers , then herbivores , carnivores , and omnivores , as well as scavengers. Decomposers are things like bacteria - which is found almost anywhere , and fungi - more commonly known as mushrooms.
