Well 1. WHY WOULD WE WANT TO LIVE ON MARS?! I mean really, what's the point? A new society on a new planet? That sounds lame to me. I like it where I am right now. Why would we want to try and live on a new planet. It was hard enough for the Puritans and what not to move to America and settle there. Doesnt matter about technology, because it's all useless on Mars. Besides, if you think about it, it will be 10 times as hard to live on Mars because we dont have Natural Resources our bodys need. I.E. Food, water, OXYGEN!
We have not found a good reason that some sort of living thing could not live on Mars. There is water, and the surface of Mars is certainly warm enough. But, no living things have been detected yet on Mars by the several rovers that we have sent to Mars' surface.
The moon landings proved that we have the means to live on other planets (including Mars). What we need is a way to get the necessary supplies (food, oxygen, water, etc) to send people to mars and bring them back to earth.
Earth and mars are totally different. Earth is green and blue. Mars is red & brown. WE live on earth and martitans live on Mars. Mars is not cool but earth is. Earth has living things mars doesnt.!!!!
As of current knowledge, there is no evidence of extraterrestrial creatures living on other planets in our solar system. Scientists continue to search for signs of microbial life on Mars and potential habitable conditions on planets like Enceladus and Europa.
Unfortunately Mars is cold, but Neptune is extremely cold. Therefore Mars is so likely like Earth that scientists think there might be living things on Mars. Neptune is more likely impossible to live on therefore you will need quite a lot of the technology to live or even go to Neptune. Edit: Also Mars is a solid rocky world, whereas Neptune is mainly gas, fluids and so on.
Scientists are hoping to get life on MArs.

yes and scientists are finding more about this but there is water on one of the lands of mars which they are if humans can live there
Probably only Earth. but there COULD be life on Mars but scientists are not sure.
no life can't live on mars
Craters are physical features, not living entities
Well that I know of their might be living organisms that exist on mars, but aliens its possible.
Humans can currently live on Earth, as it provides the necessary conditions for human life such as oxygen, water, and suitable temperature. There are ongoing efforts to explore the possibility of living on other planets like Mars, but at present, Earth is the only known planet where humans can live.
The purpose was because the scientists wanted to know if there was h20 or some kind of bacteria so after a few years, humans could live in Mars.
Once scientists are certain that there is no native life on Mars, then sending microorganisms will probably be the first lifeforms we send there.
You cannot live on the planet Mars without an oxygen supply. You also would be safest in a space suit. In the future, some scientists hope we can make a biosphere on Mars. However, as of right now, you wouldn't want to live on Mars. I would say wait a millennium or two.
