They happen so fast
Meteorologists study the weather and try to predict it.
The Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) prepares for large scale disasters such as hurricanes and floods. While often critical of FEMA the simple fact is that most states would be overwhealmed by the scale of natural disasters that FEMA grapples with.
You cannot prevent natural disasters. They are made by nature, so humans have no power to stop it from happening. However, you can avoid the natural disasters by evacuating in time to another place until the disaster has occurred.
Scientists have attempted to predict earthquakes by monitoring the build-up of stress along fault lines, changes in groundwater levels, animal behavior, and variations in electromagnetic fields. However, predicting earthquakes with high accuracy remains a significant challenge due to the complexity of geophysical processes involved. Current focus is on improving early warning systems rather than precise prediction.
Scientists use monitoring tools such as seismometers, GPS instruments, gas sensors, and satellite data to monitor volcanic activity. By studying changes in seismic activity, ground deformation, gas emissions, and other indicators, scientists can better predict potential eruptions. In some cases, preventive measures such as evacuation orders may be issued to protect nearby populations.

I think I get what you are asking. If we can prevent natural disasters. When it comes down to it we can't a lot of people seem to think we can do things to tame or alter nature but, nature is just nature. We can't prevent things such a wildfires and tornadoes and floods and hurricanes and all the other natural disasters. The best we can do is learn about all these disasters and try to save the most lives we can. We can't prevent it but, we can try to save ourselves from them.

in south Korea there are not that many natural disasters except typhoons and rain storms. these rain storms though may cause small floods. there may be a few minor earthquakes but people can not feel them, just reported on the news.and to add to flooding, people only die when well they try to swim in water.
