Red wire=positive

Red, white, and black are standard for a three-way switch (you have two switches that control the same fixture). You should also have a ground wire (copper, unsheathed). The black and red are negative, while the white is positive. It works pretty simply. When the switch is up, the black and white are linked, creating a circuit. When it is down, the red and white are linked. If both switches agree (both are red/white or both are black/white), then the circuit is completed and power flows.
House wire is "line" Black & White house goes to Black & White of Timer; the "load" (e.g. Pond Pump, etc.) is connected to the Red & White. Specifically, put all 3 whites together (nut or terminal); House (source)(line) Black to Timer Black; and "load" Black to Timer Red. The Red wire is the "Timed" (switched) hot wire.
The black wire is typically the hot wire that carries the electrical current, while the red wire is often used as a traveler wire. Connect the black wire to one terminal of the light switch and the red wire to the other terminal. Make sure to turn off the power before wiring the switch to avoid electrical shock.
You have a 3 way switch. Your black wire is the hot wire. Your green wire is the ground wire. Your red and white wires go to the light and other switch. You should have gotten a wiring diagram with your switch.
Black to Black - Black from the ceiling is a hot wire and should be switched Red to Blue - Red wire is another hot wire and should also be switched White to White - White from the ceiling is the neutral and should not be switched. Your wall should have two switches, one will control the red wire, one will control the black wire. If you wire your fan as above, one switch will turn the fan on, the other will turn the light of the fan on.
The red battery wire goes on the positive + battery terminal no matter which side it is on. The black wire goes on the negative - terminal.
When connecting a battery, the red wire should be attached first.

White wire is for signal voltage and the black wire sends the voltage to the battery, orange/red wire is your field wire that goes out to your external regulator, also there is a signal wire that goes to your battery gauge inside the cab.
disconnect the negative (black) first then positive (red).
Red is positive black is ground.
Negative - (Black) is Ground, Positive + (Red) is Hot. Ground wire goes to Negative (Black) it goes from negative on battery to engine for ground.
Battery wire is always the biggest wire of all.. It's either red or Blue/black for positive and the black for negative.. hope this helps..
The thick black wire is the negative which should be connected to the frame of the ATV (negative ground). The red wire comes from the battery positive terminal and should go to the start solenoid From the other side of start solenoid a red wire of the same size as the black one should go to the starter.
